PROGRAMME OVERVIEW

FUTURE-FIT LEADERSHIP

TRANSFORMATION IN THREE PHASES:

ASSESSMENT AND ALIGNMENT:

Understand the ability of your leaders, teams, and the business as a whole to quickly address emerging threats, and exploit opportunities. Identify opportunities for improvement and begin to build a crucial 21st century competitive advantage.

PHASE ONE -

THE BUSINESS ADAPTIVENESS REPORT

PHASE ONE OBJECTIVE:

To identify opportunities to improve the ability of your leaders and teams to anticipate and exploit rapid change in the 21st century's ever-changing strategic business landscape.

Key Activities:

  • 1. FUTURE-FIT ASSESSMENT - THE DNA OF LEADERSHIP:

Our proprietary psychometric predicts how well your leaders and teams can anticipate, make sense of, and exploit rapid change in our increasingly unpredictable and fast-paced business landscape.

Based on Hogan's personality inventory we can leverage existing data or run new assessments to create detailed leadership profiles of individuals and teams, providing a clear map of your business's strengths and development opportunities.

Learn where your competitive advantages might be, and where the hidden risks are.

  • 2. STAKEHOLDER INTERVIEWS AND ANALYSIS:

Engage senior leaders and key stakeholders both within and outside of the business to understand potential strategic priorities and to align business-specific programme outcomes and leadership development goals.

  • 3. ORGANISATIONAL DIAGNOSTICS:

Surveys, focus groups, and rata reviews to assess organisational structures, cultures, and innovation readiness; identifying systemic barriers to adaptability and highlighting areas for improvement.

PHASE ONE OUTCOMES:

Clear identification of organisational strengths, capability gaps, and leadership development priorities.

A future-oriented business-specific programme fully aligned with the business's values, mission, strategic goals, and immediate business needs and opportunities.

IN-PERSON

WORKSHOPS:

Empower your leaders and teams to accurately understand and map the future; enable them to assess the impact of emerging trends, opportunities, and possible threats. The Business Evolution Programme enables them to build their individual and collective capacities to anticipate, orient, and act proactively, helping them to lead confidently through disruption rather than merely reacting to it. Build the 21st century's crucial competitive advantage.

PHASE TWO -

BUSINESS EVOLUTION WORKSHOPS

PHASE TWO OBJECTIVES:

To empower leaders and teams by equipping them with the Future-Fit Leadership framework.

To create a Business Radar that enables leaders and businesses to anticipate emerging challenges and opportunities, identify their likely impacts and timings, and track progress.

Key Activities:

  • PRE-WORK

Provide psychometric / 360 assessment feedback to participants about their ability to anticipate and quickly adapt to emerging challenges and opportunities.

Share with them and with senior leaders the collective strengths and weaknesses of their team(s).

Explore the strategic and operational implications with senior leaders and agree business-specific objectives for the Business Evolution Programme.

Set leaders and teams pre-work tasks to inform their strategic and operational decision-making during the workshops.

  • WORKSHOP ONE

Introduce the Future-Fit Leadership framework: Sensing, Sense-making, Meaning-making, Envisaging, Preferencing, Strategising, Executing, Communicating, and Collaborating.

Introduce the Business Radar. Leaders and teams scan the horizon for early signs of emerging threats and opportunities in the strategic landscape, whether these be commercial, economic, technological, political, social, legal, or environmental.

Leaders and teams work together to:

    • utilise the Future-Fit Leadership framework,
    • build their Business Radar - what information and purposeful networks should we build, so that we can see "over the horizon"?
    • share  information about likely sources of valid data and information,
    • agree actions to be implemented prior to Workshop Two.
  • WORKSHOP TWO

Participants update their Business Radar using the data / information gathered since Workshop One, and agree which emerging threats and opportunities they need to monitor and / or orient towards:

    • what and where are their likely impacts and probable timings?
    • what is the best way of tracking developments in these areas?
    • who is to be responsible for drafting scenarios and strategies for mitigation and/or exploitation?
    • How shall we improve our individual and collective information-gathering, sense-making, and meaning-making?

Throughout this process leaders and teams will be:

    • using and receiving feedback about their use of the Future-Fit Leadership framework,
    • increasing their self-awareness about biases in their thinking and decision-making, as individuals and as a team,
    • exploring the use of a variety of decision-making tools,
    • focusing on real business threats and challenges facing the business.
  • WORKSHOP THREE

Participants review the data / information gathered since Workshop Two and agree adjustments to the Business Radar: what's changing? How is it changing, and why? What are the likely impacts? How should we orient ourselves and the business towards them?

Participants review their use of the Future-Fit Leadership framework as individuals and teams to identify learnings, gaps, and actions to improve. How might we improve our envisaging, our innovating, our decision-making?

Leaders and teams agree how to maintain and improve the Business Radar and who to involve in the process; what opportunities are there to involve key people and the next generation of leaders in the business, elevating their understanding of strategy - not as a topic but as a way of thinking and working together?

Throughout the process leaders and teams will be:

    • using and receiving feedback about their use of the Future-Fit Leadership framework,
    • increasing their self-awareness about biases in their thinking and decision-making, as individuals and as a team,
    • taking steps to eliminate / minimise those biases,
    • exploring the use of a variety of decision-making tools,
    • focusing on real business threats and challenges facing the business.

PHASE TWO

OUTCOMES:
